Hi We have a number of Hewlett-Packard instruments, (eg a semiconductor parametric analyzer 4145B ), many of which have disk drives which allow the storage of measurement data. In the manual it says that the disks can be read by a HP9000 series 200 and 300 computers running BASIC 3.0 or 4.0. We do not possess or have access to such a computer within our institute, so therefore the problem is that we want to read this data on a PC. If we can read the disks we can get the data directly since the file formats are documented in the already mentioned manuals. However the disk formats are not. We have tried programs like Norton, Anadisk etc to see if we can discover the disk formats but to no avail. Does anybody know the disk format ? does anybody have a utility that can do this, public domain or commercial ? if the disk format is available then we would be willing to write such a program and place it in the public domain for anyone else to use. Thanks in advance for any ideas, programs, etc Jeff ================================================================================ = Jeff Jones = IERI = International Electronics Reliability Institute = = = Dept of Electrical and Electronic Engineering = = = Loughborough University of Technology = = = Loughborough, Leics.
