Hello all you out there in the Net. Is there any specs on the latest chip sets for the VGA and SVGA graphics? I heard here and there that IBM VGA is the slowest, then Paradise, and some more... Please let me know since I AM looking for a decent VGA system... Thanks. *************************************************************************** Yung D. Our dept. recently picked up a 386-25 box with an SVGA card using the
Paradise chip set.
Question1: Is it normal for windows to take two to three seconds to
repaint a screen? (actually about two thirds of the screen)
This is in the 1024X768 mode.
Question2: If it is NOT normal, is this a function of the driver or
the hardware? Could a different driver for the Paradise set
be used?
Question3: If the answer to both of the above is NO, what is considered
to be the hot tip in chip sets.
Thanx in advance for yer help.

What's your disk doing while the repaint is going on? I bet it's trashing like mad.
