It looks like I will be spending the best of the Summer 1983 hiking along alpine trails in Switzerland. The "Let's Go Europe" book has been of tremendous help in deciding which part of the country I should spend most of my time in. After a careful examination, I have come to a conclusion that camping is the only means of keeping the costs low which also gives me lots of freedom ( no bed-by-11:30PM stays in hostels ). Does any one have any idea on the climate during the months of May and June in Switzerland? If it is going to be cold, I must invest in buying a good sleeping bag; if it is going to be wet, my tent must be able to withstand the rain and wind; etc. Thanks in advance. We hope to spend several weeks in Switzerland this summer -- combining work in Zurich (for four weeks) and vacation (for a fifth week). Although we've been there before, we'd like suggestions for special places to visit throughout the country -- with emphasis on the scenic (as in mountains) and small (as in villages). Switzerland is so beautiful that I don't want to miss any little-known but wonderful places others have visited. We plan to buy the Swiss Holiday Card so we'll have unlimited use of the trains. Recommendations, please, for places to see, stay, and eat. Thanks for any tips. Linda Pearlstein
