I would like any recommendations on inexpensive VGA cards which support both analog and TTL monitors. I would be using the card for a time with a TTL monochrome monitor until I upgrade. What cards have both 9-pin and 15-pin connectors? Will they support all EGA modes on a monochrome monitor? Hercules? With colors as shades of gray? Will they prevent attempts to set VGA and higher resolutions and only allow modes the monitor can handle? Will they do CGA modes on a TTL monochrome monitor?
