Does the PostScript cartridge for the HP III and IIIP come with enough memory to run PostScript on board, or will a memory board be required in addition to the cartridge? Or, do these features get bundled so often that I just got the mistaken notion that these things come together? What do you need as a minimum for a HP III PostScript machine.

The manual says that you need 1 meg of optional printer memory and suggests that you have 2 megs of optional printer memory, to achieve optimal performance. -- Douglas Bell "... but that's not important, that's just numbers." dab6@po.cwru.edu Dr. Wu, Math Professor

You must add at least 1 MB of additional memory to have a useful PostScript printer. (The version of Pacific Page designed for the "LaserJet Series II" [quotes are intentional and this model number is to be taken =LITERALLY=] is sometimes packaged with a memory board in order to compete with the Adobe-marketed cartridge for the same printer, which is much cheaper). -- Mike Schuster | -CIS: 70346,1745 -NY Public Access UNIX: schuster@panix.com | -MCI Mail, GENIE: -The Portal (R) System: schuster@cup.portal.com | MSCHUSTER
