A 1.2meg drive I'm installing has a problem with changing disks. It seems that it can't tell when you've swapped disks: "dir" reveals the same directory no matter what disk is in the drive. I didn't do any writing to the disk because I worried that the original disk's FAT info would overwrite the new disk. I've heard of this problem with 720k drives and the solution involved setting a jumper, is this the same problem? Anybody know what jumper I should set. When I took off the cover, no jumpers were set at all. oh yeah, the computer is an original IBM 512k AT with a Western Digital (16 bit) MFM/floppy controller. The batteries for the CMOS had been removed as well (just in case that's important) Thanks. ---------- David Ruby daver@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu "This calls for a special Building Network Administrator blend of psychology University of Illinois and extreme violence"
