Is it possible to change your system BIOS? In particular I have a 25 Mhz 386 motherboard with version 2.13 of AMI BIOS dated 5-19-89. It does not possess video or system shadowing, and I would like to have these options in hardware. Could the procedure be as simple as transplanting a new BIOS set ? Should I stick with AMI or does some other manufacturer offer particular advantages ? My system configuration is as follows: Hardware: Amptron 25 Mhz 386-DX with 256k internal cache AMI BIOS V2.13 (5-19-89) 4 Mbytes RAM (80 ns) 1 ST251-1 HDD with AMS FD/HD controller 1 ST296N HDD with Future Domain 1800 SCSI controller 2 1.44M FDD 1 360K FDD Software: MS-DOS 4.01 QEMM V5.11 -- Jack Pollard, private citizen jpollard@silver.ucs.indiana.edu --
