REASON FOR POST: I need a more unbiased opinion about some products since most distibutors and retailers will only support the products that they sell.. and give an unflattering view of something that they do not. Since I am in the market for purchasing a 486-25 system, I would like to find out the BIASED (but for good reason) opinions of net readers. All of your opinions and facts will be appreciated (of course facts would be a little more appreciated) ***** QUESTION 1: Could someone please inform me about which ET4000 graphics card is better (faster/better/clearer)... a) Diamond Speedstar + , b) BOCA research, c) ORCHID PROII AND... what about the new EDSON CEG (release dates / replacement on what cards, what drivers?) ***** QUESTION 2: Which Hard Drive is considered "better" ( less failure rate, greater transfer speed) for their 200 meg IDE drives a) MAXTOR, b) Western Digital (PERSONAL CRASHES or COMPANY DIRECT EXPERIENCES APPRECIATED) AND... is it true that you can not low level format an IDE drive ***** QUESTION 3: Is there a significant difference between having a 64k cache on board or a 128k cache? ***** QUESTION 4: Has anyone had experience w/ either GECCO computers or Hard Drives International's INSIGHT computers?
