On my way to India, I will stop in London for 6 days. Do you have suggestion on how to use this time effectively to see London and Paris keeping low budget? I have looked at packaged tours, but they will not allow a three year old child accompnying us. Is surface travel from London to Paris by car more economical (for two adults and two childern 9 and 3) compared to train/sea link? We are leaving the first week of June. There is so much to do in both cities that 6 days is nothing like enough. I was born in London (missed being a true cockney by about 2 miles) and lived there for a total of 10 years and didn't see everything :-). Actually I have been to every part of London and to almost every place of interest. It is hard to tell you what to see without knowing your interests. Contact me privately and I'll try to give you some hints. Is surface travel from London to Paris by car more economical (for two adults and two childern 9 and 3) compared to train/sea link? Surface travel by car from London to Paris is rather hard unless your car is amphibious :-). The channel ferry routes are probably the most expensive sea routes in the world. Transporting a car is expensive. The actual cost depends on the size of the car. Train is probably cheaper but you should consult a travel agent. -- From the TARDIS of Mark Callow msc@qubix.UUCP, decwrl!qubix!msc@Berkeley.ARPA ...{decvax,ucbvax,ihnp4}!decwrl!qubix!msc, ...{ittvax,amd70}!qubix!msc "I'm a citizen of the Universe, and a gentleman to boot!"
