I have two C languages, Borland's C++ and PowerC by Mix Software Inc. I can't use them because I can't install them on my hard drive. PowerC Editor works fine from my floppy drive, but when I copied it on my HD I received the following message: runtime error 87 incorrect level. What does it mean ? On the other hand C++ detects an error in the unzip.exe file, and therefore can't be installed. The problem seems to be related with my hard drive and controller with which I have a lot of problems lately(lost clusters, cross link s files). I tried to use DiskMenager's Diagnotic program to detect any problems with my HD/controller subsystem but I got "devide overflow" message. That messa ge surprised me because the diskette with this Diagnostic program works on my brother's computer( an XT ). The software packages are not copies, they are originals. One more problem occures while installing Prodigy software. I got the message that installation was completed successfuly. But after typing prodigy nothing happens. Norton Commander shows familiar error in the prodigy.exe file-runtime error. Do you have any suggestion what is wrong?
