[comp.os.msdos.programmer] REPOST: solocitng opinions of VMEM/c and HeapExpander

bryan@stiatl.UUCP (Bryan Donaldson) (06/29/90)

I'm interested in anyone's experience with either of these two
packages :

    VMEM/C The Heap Expander
Arizona Softool Associates. The Tool Makers
    5245 E. Larkspur Dr.
    Scottsdale, Arizona 85254

    Phone : (602) 996-3110

I'd like to hear about problems with implementation and use of
these products. Do they require certain hardware? Can I run a
degraded version on less hardware? I have to use one of these
products ( or one like them) and am looking to avoid any of the
'gotchas' that I can.

For those people unfamiliar with these products, they are
basically intended to add extended/expanded and virtual memory
support to C applications. One of the nice (and required)
features is that the data in memory can be swapped to disk,
creating a virtual memory system.

Thanks for your help.

As usual, mail to me and I'll summarize to the net.
(would someone who's at least seen one of these please reply. I'd
like to know if it got out.)
