The Civil Aeronautics Board said it has granted London-based Virgin Atlantic Airways temporary rights for non-stop service between Newark, N.J., and London. VA's introductory economy-fare flights will start at $159 for one-way service beginning Friday. That fare will run through June 30, when the minimum will rise to $189.

<On the road again....> Advantages of Virgin Atlantic over Peephole Distress to London include: - Food included - FREE bagage handling (PE charges) - Advanced ticketing (I want a real ticket in my hot little hand before I arrange a vacation...) The above seem to even out the price. The only problem w/Virgin Atlantic is that it seems to be a one horse stage coach. I read that they only own one 747. I'm going to London over Labor day, flying Peoples to and Virgin return. (I got the PE reservation before VA was granted permit...) If I'm still on the net by then, I'll post a comparison review. In New Jersey, Virgin Atlantic's number is : (201) 624-6855 Major credit cards accepted, although they didn't seem t know about AMEX sign and travel (tell them to write it on the top of the slip!).xD Marc Kenig ..!abnjh!cbspt002
