I'm not having very much success getting through to simtel. Does anyone else have the TC++ patch(es?) for ftp? Other than COmpuserve, that is... Everything seems to get automatically copied there from simtel20 with a delay of a day or two. ftp access seems a lot faster and more reliable. Also, listserv@ucf1vm.cc.ucf.edu will automagically send you an xxencoded copy by return mail if you mail it the message get tcppt1 xxe turboc-l and will send you the Turbo C source to decode it back to a zip file if you add the line get xxdecode c turboc-l By the way, I discovered two small glitches in the patch file today. The README file misspells the name of PTFNDFRS.BAT, one of the batch files included in the zip. And the batch files attempt to check for TLIB not being in your path and give you an intelligent error message if it isn't, but the error check only works right under 4DOS. If you are running COMMAND.COM and don't have TLIB in your path, you will only get the usual "Bad command or file name" message. (You need to have TLIB in your path to run the library patch batch files). -- sidney markowitz <sidney@saturn.ucsc.edu>

Uhh, forgive me I seem to have missed this thread, but what patches? And where are they on SIMTEL? I looked in pd1:<msdos.borland> but didn't see anything for TC++. ...LATER... -Z Raisin -- --- "May The Prezent Tenz Be With You." -The Super Amazin Cinnamon Raisin deen@police.rutgers.edu

The Borland patches to TC++ can be downloaded from Borland's bulletin board. The number is (408) 439-9181 and the name of the file is TCPPT1.ZIP. There is apparently no way to find out what files are available - you have to know the name of the file you want.
