Help!
Does anyone know the specs for GIF89a? I wrote a multi-purpose file
viewer (ARC, ZOO, ZIP, GIF, etc.) that extracts info from GIF files
such as # of colors, resolution, # of images and data CRC.
It would work fine on GIF89a's -- I think -- if I just patched it to
not notice that GIF89a and GIF87a are different. But before I go
Rube Goldberg'ing the code, I'd like to know what's really different
in 89a. The FRACTINT people were really hip on it because it provides
a documented, legal place for them to stick extra parameters.
But where can I find the specs for it? I have an old file called
GIFSTF.DOC which outlines 87a. Does such a beast exist for 89a, and
if so, where? (Please don't say Compu$pend, as I no longer have an
account there...)
Thanks!
