This really doesn't belong here, other than that I use msdos and make programs on it. I sort of figured that programmers have their hands on everything, so you might know. I'm looking for a map database in machine readable form. It should be something similar to the worldmap package available, but with more accuracy and detail. From July Byte magazine I gathered that CIA has made up such a database with 170 000 points - I think it was called Micro World Database or some such, being essentially a port of a 6 million point database on mainframes. Is this available via FTP from someplace? Maybe KGB has done one too? :-). While I am at it: I need a GIF picture of Albert Einstein, does it exist?
