Hi, I am trying to find a program which will convert from BASIC source code (basica/gwbasic) to either C or Pascal. The program I am trying to convert is a sign language tutorial which makes use of graphics. Some of the reasons for converting are that I'd like to compile it for speed, and I'd like to change it (with TURBO C++ or TURBO Pascal v 5.5) so that it will use hercules graphics without HGCIBM or SIMCGA. Now, I am sure that given enough time, I could do the conversion myself, but if a program exists to do such things, I might as well make use of it. I have not made an exhaustive search of the wuarchive.wustl.edu mirror of the SIMTEL20 archive, but I have looked through the first few likely seeming directories and not found anything much. Please email me any responses, and I'll post a summary at some point if there are many responses... Thanks in advance, -- -<>Dylan<>- morgan@chaos.cs.brandeis.edu

[i have tried to reply by e-mail but the my system does not recognize the adress] You have two solutions. The first one is to buy QuickBasic 4.5 that support the Hercule Video card and the second one is to buy the Basic to C converter you are looking for. There is a product named BAS_C that does it from GOTOLESS CONVERSION available by the Programmer's Connection mail order house.
