This question is more of an alt.hardware thing, but my problem is this: I need to have several PCs that can all interface to one common disk. I want to have each one on a separate phone line, but all able to access the same information. Short of configuring a LAN (and buying ethernet cards for all the PCs) is there a simple way to do this, with existing software? I've heard of small LAN packages that use the parallel ports on PCs to connect to one another...do these work? I understand they are limited to 2 nodes. Thanks in advance... mail works best, but I'll be checking posts also. mike ---------------- michael hamilton usc ocean physics hamilton%oce@gamera.usc.edu / system%coriolis.uucp@usc.edu / others s.uucp@usc.edu / others
