[comp.os.msdos.programmer] Menuing / Data Entry experience wanted

barber@unrvax.unr.edu (10/16/90)

We are about ready to purchase a menuing / data entry software package.
The criteria we are using to judge the various packages is the following:
	Rolalty Free
	Source Code Available
Data Entry with attachable functions (custimize fields)
Define context sensitive help for menus, forms & fields
A Form Designer (prefer one which generates both source & binary files)
Memos, tickertape fields and scrollable regions on forms
The follow is criteria which is not mandatory but helpful:
	Mouse support
Automatic switching between color & monochrome (define both and
		have program select at runtime)
Multiple language (requires help to be stored in disk file)

I would greatly appreciate it if some people could share their experiences
(both positive & negative) they have had with any of the following packages:
	Vermont Views v2.0 w/Designer
	DataWindows v2.12 w/Makeform from GreenLeaf
	C-scape v3.0 w/Look & Feel from Oakland Group

Please respond through email. Thanks in advance

Have you considered JYACC Application Manager? It has many, if not all the
features, you describe, except no royalty fees for the application. For more
info, contact JAM at 800-458-3313.

BTW I am not associated with JAM in any way--just a satisfied customer.
