[comp.os.msdos.programmer] 286 ASM Manual?

pete@wlbr.IMSD.CONTEL.COM (Pete Lyall) (11/06/90)

I'm looking for a textbook that'll show me the opcodes, addressing
modes, and general approach for assembling programs on a 286.
I'm experienced with Motorola assemblers (6800, 6809, 680x0), so what
I need is more for reference and less for hand holding (although
I'd be grateful for any tutorial text as well).

Is there a 'preferred' book? For reference I'm using TASM 1.0 with TC
2.0. Thanks muchly for any (ahem) pointers!

Try "286 Programmer's Reference Manual" from Intel. try your local Intel
distributor.
