My husband and I are going to Hawaii in January and plan to spend one week on Kauai and one week on Maui. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive place, either hotel or condo, on these islands? We've seen a wide range of prices for rooms with ocean views (which is what we want) and wonder if the cheap ones are really bad. We'd rather spend our money on entertainment, food and drinks rather than a super luxurious room, but we don't want to stay in a dump either.
