Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a book that discusses the detail of low-level programming
on IBM compatible PCs. I guess something like a technical reference manual
would be nice, except most of those only cover one machine (linke one for PCs,
another for XTs, yet another for ATs, etc) and I want one that covers all of
them, or as many as possible. It would also be nice if the book covered the
important points concening writing a device driver.
If a lot of response comes in on this then I will summarize.
Thanks!
Charles

Find the TECHREF manual by Dave Jackson. It's the best. There was a version called 1029REF.ARC on GEnie a couple of years ago, I imagine there are more recent shareware versions of it available today. Or send $20 to: Dave Jackson P.O. Box 181 Jacksonville, AR 72087-0181 I did and it is well worth it. Best $20 you could ever spend. (Tell him I sent you; I may get a kickback [heh heh])
