Help! I need a program that can do search-and-replace of text strings
in a DOS binary file.
Restrictions:
* The patching program must be able to change the length of the strings
found (i.e., replacing all occurrences of "foo" with "FUBAR" must be
permitted).
* The patching program must be able to run in batch mode, with either
command-line parameters or a script read from stdin.
Lots of binary file editors exist, but none that I have seen can satisfy
those two needs.
Any suggestions?
