[comp.os.msdos.programmer] Internal fault using CodeView 3.11

Trying to run CodeView 3.11 (bundled with MSC 6.00A) I'm getting an
internal error CV1319, which according to the manuals are due to a 
protection violation. Now the problem is that as far as I can tell nothing
else is running in protected mode. Also the protected mode turbo debugger
runs happily, tpcx runs fine, even the pwb runs without any problems.
The machine I'm using is an Everex 3000, it's an 386 with 2M memory.

Any clues, any ideas of the cause ?
