[net.travel] Armenian Restaurant in Phoenix

TO ALL LOVERS OF GOOD FOOD:

I was in Phoenix, AZ on business two weeks ago and I discovered a
*wonderful* restaurant. The place is actually in Scottsdale, and
is called "Armenia."

I had a wonderful lunch consisting of tabboule salad, stuffed
grape leaves, and a yogurt dish with fresh cucumbers (I have
forgotten the name of that one). I especially enjoyed it because
I am a vegetarian and there were quite a few different vegetarian
dishes in the appetizers section. In addition to the dishes
above, falafel and about four others vegetarian dished are listed
on the menu. However, there are also many meat dishes (in
particular, a lot of lamb). The food is all freshly made,
including homemade yogurt and freshly marinated olives (from a
tree outside the restaurant).

The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent! I
talked with the owner and asked him why there weren't more people
there during the lunch hour. He replied that people would rather
eat fast food than quality food. Well, I thought that there must
be a lot of people that would like to know about places like this
so I told him I'd put an article on the net describing the
restaurant.

So all you folks in Phoenix, or if you will be traveling there, I
recommend checking this place out (I'm getting hungry just
talking about it).
