I have a need to install and to uninstall a driver, and would prefer not to have to boot in between. Is there such a thing as uninstall a driver? Can I install a driver with out rebooting? Where can I read about this? -- Chris Kushmerick kciremhsuK sirhC kushmer@bnlux0.bnl.gov <===Try this one first kushmerick@pofvax.sunysb.edu

Even then, it could prove to be a pain. >Can I install a driver with out rebooting? Yes. There is a program called DEVLOD that comes with _Undocumented_DOS_ that does this. Note that even its authors won't claim 100% success rate. >Where can I read about this? _Undocumented_DOS_ Andrew Schulman, Raymond J. Michels, Jim Kyle, Tim Paterson, David Maxey and Ralf Brown. Addison-Wesley Publishing. ISBN 0-201-57064-5. $39.95 List US $51.95 in Canada. Comes with two disks full of tools. DEVLOD is talked about in chapter 3. Have fun.... Try <msdos.sysutl>drvins11.zip at simtel. It claims to do exactly what you want however it does not work with all drivers. You will also need mark and release. -- --------------------------------------------------------------- Klaus Hartnegg, Kleist-Str. 7, D-7835 Teningen, Germany Bitnet : HAKL@DFRRUF1, Internet : HAKL@ibm.ruf.uni-freiburg.de X.400 : G=klaus;S=hartnegg;OU=ibm;OU=ruf;P=uni-freiburg;A=dbp;C=de
