1) Viking ships, Bygd/oy peninsula, is open in October from 11am to 3pm.
2) Polar expedition ship Fram, Bygd/oynes, is open from 12am to 3pm.
3) Kon-tiki museum, Bygd/oynes, is open from 11am to 4pm.
4) National Norwegian folk museum, Bygd/oy, is open from 11am to 4pm.
5) The Vigeland sculptures, Frogner Park, is open free from 1 to 7pm ex. Mon.
6) Edvard Munch Museum, T/oyengarten 53, is open from 10am to 8pm ex. Mon.
7) Oslo city hall is open from 11am to 2pm.
8) Akershus Castle, is open from 10am to 3pm.

Other possibilities include:
The National Gallery from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday.
Oslo Cathedral at 8 pm on Thursday for music and prayer.
Metropol, 8 Askersgate, for combo and food.
Loftet, 26 Stortingsgaten, for disco and food.
La Boheme, 14 Ullevalsveien, for beer and food.
Chateau Neuf, 7 Slemdalsveien, disco, food, bar, concerts, folk music...
Jegerhalled, 38 Akersgata, singles, beerfest, food.
National Theater, Karl Johans Gate, stage.
Norwegian National Opera, Youngstorget, opera, operetta, and ballet.

As you can see the main tourist places are closed very early.  Be sure to get
"Oslo Guide" as soon as you land to confirm the opening hours and which places
are still in business.  My experience is a couple years old.

I'm going to be in Oslo for a few days from 10th October, and I wondered if
anyone out there could suggest some good places to visit (evenings only, 
unfortunately - it's a business trip).

Also, if there are any Oslo based netlanders out there, maybe we could meet
up ... ?
