I am looking for a programmers editor that will allow you to run your assembler and take the output and flag the errors. I saw one called ASMED-1 on Simtel, but it locks my computer up for some reason. I don't want one with a way to shell to DOS, it needs to be able to run the assembler directly. (And if it can also run the linker, then so much the better). Thanks in advance... ============================================================================== +---------+ Scott Maxell --- IO92203 AT MAINE | | ---------------- IO92203 AT MAINE.MAINE.EDU | O | | | | "What I need is a computer that will do what I want it to do +---------+ not what I tell it to do..."

Two possibilities: Borland's Sprint with my SPTURBO package (on SIMTEL20) Lugaru's Epsilon Both have the option of running just the assembler or a full MAKE. Both can swap out essentially all of themselves while running the external programs (Sprint down to 1.5K, Epsilon down to 3K). Epsilon has the unique advantage of letting you see the program's output while it is running yet still capturing it to an editing buffer. -- {backbone}!cs.cmu.edu!ralf ARPA: RALF@CS.CMU.EDU FIDO: Ralf Brown 1:129/3.1 BITnet: RALF%CS.CMU.EDU@CMUCCVMA AT&Tnet: (412)268-3053 (school) FAX: ask DISCLAIMER?
