I just saw an ad on the back of the Programmer's Paradise catalog for this product. It claims to be a DOS Extender, but one which can work with *any* Microsoft C compiled program on any 286 or 386 machine. The cost is quite attractive for those who already own MS C: $495, compared with $800 for the least expensive 386-only compiler plus DOS extender package in the rest of the catalog. Moreover, I was told by phone that they are validating it with MS Fortran as well, and believe it will work. Has anyone used this product? It does have a money-back guarantee, so I will probably order a copy anyway. If anyone does have it, please write a program which attempts to malloc() a megabyte of RAM (either as one large or multiple small chunks, I don't care which) and tell me if it works. Thanks. -- Stephen R. Walton, Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, Cal State Northridge bcphyagi@csunb.csun.edu until my Suns come back up
