[comp.os.msdos.programmer] int 10 AH=12 BL=20 select alt PrtSc routine

Why is this called, and can I disable it without crashing my machine?

There are various filters I want to put into print screen, such as quoting
graphics characters (for my specific printer), but the above mentioned interrupt
remaps INT 05 for its own purposes. There's a bug in the remapped code which
causes it not to work if the screen width is over 128 characters, so I would
want to take it over anyway.

My system:
Everex Step 386/20
main BIOS (C)1987AMI
Video BIOS extension "IBM COMPATIBLE.*EGA BIOS V1.54
                      Copyright Everex Systems Inc."
Everex EGA card (obviously)
EverVision monitor
2 Mb memory
Dos 3.3

Thanks for any information you can give.
