Hi, I've been asked to port a protocol to a DOS machine. The requirements of the system include simultaneous upload/ download/printing/database queries... I thought that the best way around this would be to locate a pre-emptive multitasker. I came across "CTask22" on "wuarchive", and was wondering if someone could comment on it. In additional, are there other packages out there (public domain and/or commercial). Thanks in advance. viraf bankwalla viraf@seas.gwu.edu ...!uunet!gwusun!viraf

I can report a problem or two (Thomas Wagner: this is NOT a complaint!) I've experienced having the PC choke when a Ctask22 application, which is a TSR, does disk I/O at the same time as another TSR. Another user reported a similar problem, except his "other TSR" was a network server of some obscure type. For plain-Jane cooperating subtasks, it is great however. No Windows support - yet - but Thomas is known to be looking at the problem. - David Andrews tarpit!bilver!dandrews
