[comp.os.msdos.programmer] XMS docs?

jm9t+@andrew.cmu.edu (Josh Brian Mastronarde) (05/06/91)

To get the XMS specs, I just called Microsoft and asked for them. The
specs are in the public domain, and they're all to happy to have more
programs out there to support their spec, so it shouldn't cost you a
thing. I don't have their number offhand, but here's the address on the
cover of my specs:

Microsoft Corporation
16011 NE 36th Way
Box 97017
Redmond, WA 98073

I also got the LIM EMS 4.0 specs from Intel:

Intel Corporation
5200 NE Elam Young Parkway
Hillsboro, OR 97124

It's refreshing to see these companies realize that by sending free info
to programmers, they will see an increased demand for their hardware.
Have fun.
