[comp.os.msdos.programmer] CV + MSDOS 4.01 + HIMEM = REBOOT

 I have MSC 6.0a installed on a Compaq 486/33L.
According to MSC installation instructions I have put himem.sys in
my config.sys (HIMEM version 2.50). I am running MSDOS 4.01.
Given this configuration running codeview (issue "cv") causes
a reboot. I have done numerous experiments with changing my
config.sys and autoexec.bat and I have called MicroSoft customer
support- they haven't an answer either so this is more a warning
than a request for help.
