Hello all,
I have need of some help.. I'd like to find out about general graphics
stuff on the pc, animation included.. any references that anyone would
care to give me gratefully received..
Sort of stuff I'd like to know about..
fast graphics formats
the GIF format..
Graphics cards (VGA in particular.)
The fastest way to get an image off disk and onto the screen (instantaneous
would be ideal)
Moving data from memory to video memory.
Using extended memory.
doing fade-in and fade-out..
anything else anyone cares to tell me..
I know this is really general but...
the sort of stuff I'd like to get is program snippets (C, assembly would be
nice, but not essential) book references, magazine references, ftp-able
files, source to interesting graphics programs (where can I get fractint
source by the way?) etc etc.. Anything would be helpful.
