I have been kicking an idea around for a cheap-and-dirty lab interface using the parallel printer port as both an output and input channel. I think that I have heard of this being done. The problem is, I have no idea how to do it. I have books "Writing MS-DOS Device Drivers" and "C Programmer's Guide to Serial Communications." What I would like to find is a similar book that talks about how to make a Centronics parallel port and/or GPIB (IEEE-488) strut its stuff. Where do I look to find this kind of information? A leading reference that I can take to intrelibrary loan would be ideal. Please e-mail responses to uunet!weyrich!orville or orville%weyrich@uunet.uu.net and I will summarize to the net. Thanks, Orville. -------------------------------------- ****************************** Orville R.
