There is a piece of code from Turbo Power that does just that. You can find it on Compuserve in the Turbo Power forum or on the TP5.5 forum. Works well. For all you IBM gurus: Given a drive number (e.g. 1=A, 2=B, etc.), is there a way to find out *exactly* what type of drive it is? The code must not only distinguish between floppy and fixed drisk drives of different sizes, but also has to point out RAMDisks, External disks, Remote disks, and logical drives created by the SUBST command (are there any other types that can be assigned to a drive number)?
