[comp.os.msdos.programmer] Protect mode programming books...

ericb@eecs.cs.pdx.edu (Eric Berggren) (06/21/91)

Any good recommendations for general 286/386 native modem programming books
you know of? I had Dr. Dobb's 80286/80386 Toolbook as a good title, but M&T
no longer prints it (too many people liked it, I guess). I want something
that discusses topics related to protected and virtual mode [synonymous?]
programming without half of the book devoted to giving me yet another copy
of the entire instruction set and MS-DOS interrupt listings (as I have seen
so many others do) Thanx.

Intel publishes a book called "80386 Systems Sofware Writers Guide"
(ISBN 1-55512-023-7, Intel order # 231499-001) which is real good.
