Any good recommendations for general 286/386 native modem programming books you know of? I had Dr. Dobb's 80286/80386 Toolbook as a good title, but M&T no longer prints it (too many people liked it, I guess). I want something that discusses topics related to protected and virtual mode [synonymous?] programming without half of the book devoted to giving me yet another copy of the entire instruction set and MS-DOS interrupt listings (as I have seen so many others do) Thanx. -e.b. ============================================================================== Eric Berggren | "Life is a Turing Test; Computer Science/Eng. | We're all automatons!" ericb@eecs.cs.pdx.edu | - (click, whir, buzz, chirp)

Intel publishes a book called "80386 Systems Sofware Writers Guide" (ISBN 1-55512-023-7, Intel order # 231499-001) which is real good. -- David Feustel, 1930 Curdes Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, (219) 482-9631 EMAIL: feustel@netcom.com or feustel@cvax.ipfw.indiana.edu I voted for Bush once.
