Subject: Porting Sunview to Motif... Just as XView is a toolkit to port Sunview applications to X Windows resulting in Open Look applications, are there any tools (available/being built) to port Sunview applications to Motif? I have some substantial Sunview applications that need to be ported. Thanks for any info anyone can provide. There are currently no Motif toolkits with a Sunview-like API available. Anybody know of any underway? If I had some substantial Sunview applications to port, I would start by getting the xview source, and porting *that* to Motif. Of course, having done that, I would make the resulting toolkit publicly available. This is not a minor undertaking, but it shouldn't be that difficult, either. Remember that xview is not based on the Intrinsics, so you will have to duplicate the Motif behaviour yourself, using Xlib. You might want to talk to the folks at Visix to see how difficult this is, as they have an Xlib-based, Motif toolkit of their own. =brian Email brian@ima.isc.com Phone 617-661-7474 x206 Fax 617-661-2070 near the last bend in the Charles River
