Question for Motif gurus: I have just moved to motif from Tom's window manager. In my previous environment, xmh mailer could be iconified such that it changed color (and shape) signifying incoming of a mail. In my current environment I am running a Motif IconManager and whenever I iconify the xmh window, it just shows up as a line in the IconManager. What this means is that I need to poll xmh periodically to see if new mail has arrived. I was wondering if there is a way to have a separate xmh icon which could indicate arrival of new mail. From what I could understand from the man pages of mwm, I put these lines in my .mwm and .Xdefaults : Mwm*xmh*useIconBox: False Mwm*xmh*iconImage: /usr/local/ivo/icons/nomail.icon Mwm*xmh*useClientIcon: False Mwm*xmh*fadeNormalIcon: True but this did not work.
