In response to a question about where discussion of software posted to net.sources should take place, how about using net.misc? The stated purpose of that news group is to contain discussions that are probably not general enough to warrant creation of new newsgroups. I would prefer not to put software discussions in net.misc, where they will get buried in all the, uh "stuff", already there. Why not use a nice quiet group like net.usoft, which is claimed to be for "Universal Software Packages", whatever they are.
