[ This is posted for a friend - he has email access but no news Please reply to him directly - andrewg@sphinx.ci.OZ.AU ] ============================================================ Could anyone familiar with Motif suggest solutions to the following: 1) What is the best method for executing A Motif program (ie: designed to run under 'mwm') such that the user is completely protected from the operating system and logs directly into the application. Is there a 'proper' way to do this ? The application is running under Interactive Unix. At present it is single user. 2) In relation to the above, is there a way to force the 'maximize' icon/button available in the application's top level shell to be exectued at runtime. Presently the program is run, then the maximise button 'clicked' - this is pretty tacky. I am aware that the width and height values can be set but the specification of the 'maximize' perhaps in the .Xdefaults file would be neater. 3) Is anyone aware of any commercially available C++ interfaces to Motif ? Any responses would be appreciated - please mail me directly. andrewg@sphinx.ci.OZ.AU ============================================================ -- Richard Perini Phone: +61 2 9064333 Corinthian Engineering Fax: +61 2 9061556 Sydney, Australia Internet: rpp@sphinx.ci.oz.au
