Thank you to all the responses concerning the problems I was having with my text widget going nuts when I tried to create it within a scrollable widget. Apparently, a LOT of other folks have been bitten by the same problem. Seems that the text widget and scrollable widget don't want to work together too well if one also wishes to implement word wrap. I tried all the various suggestions about getting the scrollbars to stop freaking out, but although most of the suggestions for this were successful, it was at the expense of word wrap. In this particular instance, the user only has to enter a few paragraphs of text, so I opted to keep word wrapping and sacrafice scroll bars. I discovered that you can use the arrow keys to move through the text window fairly easily, and I decided that although it wasn't really scrolling, it would suffice in this instance. thanks much for all the help! annette arm@sps.com
