Note that OSF members and possibly all interested have access to a white
paper
"OSF/Motif: The Graphical User Interface for Open Systems" which
compares the
two, mostly on issues other than the interfaces themselves; the authors,
who
are not identified, are somewhat less even-handed than Dan.

I suppose the best comparisons of the interfaces on technical grounds
would
come out of IEEE 1201 reports. (?)

Otherwise: you might want to obtain the Style Guides for each.
