Mwm is not, unless something was added at 1.1, which I doubt.
You can either set widgets insensitive, change the cursor, or
put up a busy dialog box.  Personally I like none of the options.
A window manager protocol might be good, although of course
you still have to worry about people who aren't running mwm.
