Has anyone tried integrating Motif applications generated by a UIMS program and InterViews? I'd like to generate my user interface with a UIMS like TeleUSE or XDesigner, but write the application in C++ and use the InterViews toolkit. Getting the callbacks to be C++ functions is easy, but unfortunately both the generated application and Interviews have main event loops. I'd like to use the Motif event loop for the user interface, and the InterViews event loop for events in a drawing area. I've had an idea to use two processes: the generated user interface with menus, dialogs and decorations, and an undecorated InterViews window which follows the user interface window around. Inter-process communication coordinates eveything. Does this ring warning bells in anyone's head?
