I went on a cruse on the S.S. Norway and was booked will a travel agent
participating with SingleWorld. SingleWorld is a travel agency (out of
New York, I believe) that specializes in traveling for the single crowd
(my particular travel agent was in Los Angeles but still catered to the
single crowd through SingleWorld).

I would highly recommend it to all travelers who travel alone or with a
non-SO friend. Activities are planned (above what the cruse ship offers)
that only single people participate in. Participation is strictly
voluntary (even if you are with SingleWorld, you may choose to not hang
around with the other single people ... this is fine).

I found the group to be friendly and open. I traveled alone and met many
people whom I liked very much. If your travel agent participates in
SingleWorld, you can ask them what the size/average age of the group
on a particular cruse looks like. Also, SingleWorld places restrictions
(on certain cruses/tours on certain dates only) of the age range of those
who attend (i.e. "Under 35" or "All ages").

SingleWorld puts out their own catalog of Cruses, Trips, and Tours that
they are participating in. If you're interested, I suggest you call
around and find a travel agent that caters particularly to the younger
crowd ... they can give you much more information.
