We are experiencing the following problem with several of our applications. All use Motif 1.0.3 widgets (some use UIL) and run on an SCO-based X11R3 server with mwm. The windows can be sized up to full screen, and down to fairly small size with no problem. At some point (about the size of a postage stamp), the X server hangs, refusing to take keyboard input or move the mouse. The window has been redrawn for the most part (at that size it's a little hard to tell), but Mwm has not yet repainted the title bar. Then everything freezes. The system still responds to pings and will accept rlogins, but no X clients can be started. Other people's Motif applications do not demonstrate this behavior, but they use a different set of widgets, leading me to suspect we're tripping over a bug in one of the widgets (the form? the rowcolumn?). We've tried removing the user's .Xdefaults and also the app-defaults and the behavior is still present. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Please *email* me at the address below or as wex@spdcc.com.
