to OSF for Motif V1.x Technology Update Service. I've done all the required things like sending them e-mail that we are interested in Motif 1.1 or higher when available. So far, I have not gotten even acknowlegement that my e-mail has been received. I tried to call them up and was never able to get through to talk to somebody. All I get is more letters about upgrades and stuff plus an acknowlegement of the fact that they have received our money. Am I doing something wrong? Or is the general level of service to expect from OSF? If this is so, then this is really sickening. Please, someone tell me that I just didn't go about this right. -- Daniel (ddee@vicorp.com)

Motif 1.1.1 is not available to anyone yet! It doesn't exist yet! When you have seen people refer to "1.1.1" this means the collection of patch updates that we make available to full support contract holders. In principle, what we are doing is offering fixes worked out by Engineering, which is what we would do if someone called us with a specific problem. In practice we have opted to make them available in bulk, without a specific request, that's all. This whole service is causing so much misunderstanding and ill will that I'm tempted to can it.
