[comp.windows.x.motif] How do you make a key click sound?

With older versions of DECwindows there was a function call that made
the key click sound at various volumes (just like XBell for the bell).
Does anyone know if there is a similar X/Motif function? Does anyone
know if there's a possibly non-X way to do this on a DECstation
2100/3100?

usage:  xset [-display host:dpy] option ...
    To turn keyclick off:
	-c                c off               c 0
    To set keyclick volume:
	 c [0-100]        c on


Many X servers don't support it though...
