[comp.windows.x.motif] Two widget questions

ali@cs.Colorado.EDU (Ali Bahrami) (04/02/91)

I have a couple of questions that perhaps someone here can
help me with:

	1) When using editable text widgets, mwm and the top level
shell widget somehow conspire to give the text widget the
input focus. This doesn't happen when using other window
managers (dxwm and olwm are the ones I'm most concerned
with). Is there a way to work around this so that my Motif
application can coexist with other window managers?

	2) Given a scrolled window implemented as a xmScrolledWindow
widget with the XmNscrollingPolicy set to XmCONSTANT ---
is there a way to change the portion of the work area that
is currently visible under program control? I want to be able to
have my application alter the currently visible part of the
work area based on input from other widgets.

If you mail me responses, I will summarize. Thank you...
