[comp.windows.x.motif] MORE OF THAT KEYSYM PROBLEM

MULLEN_L@TREES.dnet.ge.com (LEO MULLEN) (04/05/91)

It was asked in our previous mail message, (summarizing):
"Are you sure you are using Xlib R4? "

I am not sure how this would affect the table translations? And I think
we are presently running Xlib R3, so what do I have to do to rid myself
of these warnings.

Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.

Leo.

The use of the file /usr/lib/X11/XKeysymDB was added to the R4 Xlib. Since
Motif requires those osf keysyms I think you pretty much have to use the R4
Xlib. The only other way I know to add keysyms is to hardcode them into
Xlib, and if you're going to do that....

I'm not sure which upsets me more: that people are so unwilling to accept
responsibility for their own actions, or that they are so eager to regulate
everyone else's.
